All the way to the top!

At 3:30AM after one and half hours drive from Sanur to Ubud, we started our hike to claim Mt Batur.

It got progressively harder, steeper, colder, I could see on your face you were not at ease. Pretty sure you were hating me half an hour through the hike.

You were sleep deprived, cold, tired, you were nauseous and you didn’t have mucho of a clue of where we were heading.

That’s how I wanted it.

I wanted to show you that life is not just sweet drinks and tuna stakes by the beach. Surfing the waves and paddling through starfishes has a cost, and you will be able to enjoy that and be able to pay for it only if, when is time to push, when life gets harder, you don’t give up, you push through the pain, accepting and embracing getting out of your comfort zone all the way to the end.

Yes, because eventually it ends and usually it brings you to a better place, not always, it is not given, but you have better odds than those staying behind, those who can cope with short term rewards only.

The struggle of going upslopes
Go baby, go!
